Teaching Your Infant to Play to Learn
At Little Successful Angels, we know that every moment with an infant is precious. That’s why we coo, cuddle, rock and do everything possible to bond with your baby and develop a sense of trust. Through simple games like peek-a-boo and reading stories throughout the day, our loving teachers begin the foundational work for later learning and help infants grow in areas such as: •Language development — using books, songs and activities that match your child’s development level •Cognitive development — using activities like peek-a-boo, hunt and find, and shape-sorting toys •Motor Skill development — grasping toys, tummy time, and toys to push and pull around the room •Sensory development — touching items with various textures and feeling materials in the sensory bin •Rest and nap time Our specially designed infant daycare rooms are places where babies feel safe, secure and happy. Rooms are divided into general interest areas that meet an infant’s need to move, explore, express and relax. Personal cribs, separate areas for changing and feeding, and our booties policy, which requires that all shoes be covered when entering an infant classroom to ensure clean playing, eating and sleeping spaces.

Teaching Your Infant to Play to Learn
Toddlers: There’s no doubt that they’re a bundle of energy. But at Little Successful Angels, we welcome that energy and excitement because we know that it’s a natural part of growth and learning. We’ll channel that energy into: •Motor Skill Development — tossing, catching, rolling, crawling, walking. •Language Development — reading time including our Share-A-Book activity and speech development •Music and Movement — dancing, singing, push toys and outdoor play. •Basic Concepts — helping notice and make sense of basic concepts, such as shapes and colors. •Artistic Development — art and construction projects. Little Successful Angels Daycare program is all about creating experiences that are active, sensory-based and meaningful. Our teachers lead young toddlers through age-appropriate activities to improve coordination and increase verbal and problem-solving skills. Our childcare curriculum, Creative Curriculum, is based on the idea that children are naturally curious and motivated to learn. So, we provide them with the materials and experiences to help them understand and communicate in ways most meaningful to them. Our teachers get to know each child, learn their interests and plan developmentally appropriate, engaging activities such as painting, water and sand play, book exploration, manipulative play, small group experiences and large group circle times. All of these experiences pave the way for toddlers in their path towards lifelong learning.
The Exploration Station Program
Child Care That Sparks Curiosity, Interest and Independence Inventors. Problem-solvers. Discoverers. Dreamers. Children 24 to 36 months are opening their eyes to the larger world around them and taking an active role in it. They learn as they take things apart, put them together and ask lots and lots of questions. Our teachers plan developmentally appropriate activities to encourage social interaction and mastery of cognitive skills. At Little Successful Angels Daycare, our educational daycare philosophy encourages inquisitive development and gives children the guidance and tools they need to explore and learn within a comfortable, secure environment. •Motor Skill Development — outdoor games, dancing, movement. •Language Development — recognizing and forming letters, story time, speech. •Sensory Development — textures, understanding the senses, descriptive activities. •Imaginative Development — arts and crafts, dramatic play, storytelling. •Social Development — large- and small-group activities, sharing, politeness.

As they enter their third year, children become more and more curious. It’s that natural sense of curiosity that we at Little Successful Angels use to teach them to learn and grow. Within our home-like setting your older toddler is free to be anything from an artist to an engineer. Playing pretend, learning games, participating in hands-on activities — these are just a few of the ways we keep kids engaged. But all these games and activities are done for a reason, encouraging development in a number of key areas. Our teachers plan developmentally appropriate small group interactions to work closely with your child to assure mastery of developmental tasks. Your child will also participate in large group activities to explore concepts and enjoy early literacy experiences. •Motor Skill Development — hands-on activities, outdoor play, tossing, catching. •Cognitive Development — puzzles, games, recognizing shapes, numbers, colors. •Language Development — reading, recognizing and forming letters, storytelling. •Artistic Development — art projects, construction projects, dramatic play. Our creative curriculum encourages kids’ natural curiosity and willingness to try new things, so children discover the ways that they learn best. So, in addition to basic skills, your child learns about self-direction, self-reliance and self-esteem

It’s all fun, and all done with a purpose. Our teachers use developmental assessments to plan activities for your child to help her meet learning goals. Through large groups and small, individualized instruction, your child will work on early literacy and math skills daily. •Motor Skill Development — outdoor games, dancing, movement. •Language Development — recognizing and forming letters, story time, speech. •Imaginative Development — arts and crafts, dramatic play, storytelling. •Social Development — large- and small-group activities, sharing, cooperation. This development is a key part of The Creative Curriculum, designed by early education specialists and following the guidelines for developmentally appropriate practice set forth by national accrediting associations.
